 New This Year:Superior Productions For customers who are unable to attend but would like to bid on animals, we are pleased this year to offer the option of bidding through Superior Productions via the internet or tv viewing / phone bidding. HOW TO PARTICIPATE AS AN ABSENTEE BUYER We have made preparations to bid and buy livestock through Superior Productions’ “Call or Click-To-Bid” service for those unable to attend in person on sale day. Please note that all of the lots in the sale will also be available for viewing online prior to sale day at www.superiorlive.com. HERE’S HOW IT WORKS Turn in Bids Over the Phone. This is our traditional method of buying livestock. To get started simply go online to www.superiorlive.com and click on the tab titled “REGISTER FOR YOUR BUYER’S NUMBER”. Print the registration form, fill it out and fax it in (817/378-3380) to Superior Productions with a signature on it. You can also mail it in to the address provided on the form. Upon receipt of this information Superior will call you with a buyer’s number and the bid line phone number that you will use on sale day to place bids over the phone. Click-To-Bid. This is Superior’s newest way to buy cattle! Registration is free, but you must become a member of www.superiorclicktobid.com to sign up. Becoming a member is easy – just go to the homepage of www.superiorclicktobid.com and follow the outlined steps to get started. Input your information and select a username and password. You will receive an e-mail confirming you are a member. From that point forward you just have to sign in and select the sale you would like to register for, and once approved by the ranch you will receive an e-mail confirming which sale you are now registered for. Viewing the Auction. The sale will be broadcast via satellite on Dish Network channel 231 and DirecTV channel 345. The sale will also be broadcast live on the internet at www.superiorclicktobid.com – just go to the home page and select the auction. Remember you can call in to bid whether you watch on the TV or on the internet, but you must be a member of www.superiorclicktobid.com to “click-to-bid”. Your computer must have Flash Media Player installed to view the auction. Bidders who are successful in making purchases via satellite or internet will be contacted by the ranch after the sale to settle payment and make shipping arrangements. |

| Back by Popular Demand for 2011: Bull Retirement Program Receive $200 to retire your used herd bull and trade him in for a new one. Bring your used bull(s) when you come for the sale to the certified scales at our Bull Development Center / Load Out area. A buyer from Caviness Packing Company will be there to weigh, buy and take delivery of your bull(s). They will pay current fair market value for each bull. Plus we will give you an additional premium of $200.00 for each “Trade-In” bull in the form of credit toward the purchase of a replacement for each bull. You can call our office starting October 6th to get a bid estimate on your bulls. We will only be receiving bulls on Tuesday Oct 11th from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. and again on sale day morning, Wednesday Oct 12th, from 7:30 a.m. until the sale starts at 9 a.m. Please call before you come so that we know how many “Trade-In” bulls to expect. Each bull must be one you have been using but does not have to be one purchased from us. No health testing required and no health papers required because they are going directly to Caviness. Bulls do have to be able to walk and meet all current USDA withdrawals for all animal health products. The bulls must be delivered to our Bull Development Center / Load Out Area just 1/2 mile west of our sale facility. Volume Discounts We are pleased to once again give a volume buyers discount. You will receive 10% off of purchases of 10 or more bulls. Please notify the clerk when you check out to receive your discount. This is just another way for us to say thank you for your trust in our program. |

A highlight of the day was a fundraiser for the West Texas Rehab Center where the Brown Family donated all proceeds from the sale of their Quarter Horse Stallion, Blue Hancock Eddie. Chris Scharbauer from Amarillo, TX purchased the stallion for $10,000. Scharbauer also bought 8 Angus bulls including 2 of the high selling lots. Silver Spur Ranch was the volume buyer of the day with 32 head including the high selling Red Angus bull. Safari Cattle Co was the volume female buyer with 20 head. Donald Paddack was another volume buyer who has now purchased 100 bulls through the Brown’s satisfaction guaranteed “Sight Unseen” buying service. Other volume buyers include R.E. Samuel, Scaling V Ranch, Balderas Ranch, Sansom Cattle Co and Kimberlin Ranch. Angus, Red Angus, SimAngus & Hotlander cattle were sold to 172 buyers from 16 states, Mexico and Brazil. |
